Signs are made to be read, understood, and followed by people. We should follow signs. We are not to work against it. Otherwise, we are just defeating its purpose.
In the many places in the world, road signs are scattered everywhere to guide all people. In the streets, you will see signs that are very big and obvious. Some people may wonder why it is so. Others may think that it is to emphasize what it says.
But even though those signs are that big, we still get to see a lot of people not following it probably because they do not get to understand what it says or the just prefer to break it. Their reason for this is: “almost everybody’s doing it?or “nobody’s watching us? It is so sad that most of the people choose to break signs because of that reason.
What for have those signs? Others may say that it is better to have some than to have none at all. But, do those ‘some?does any better? I do not think so. These signs are merely decorations for some people. They take signs so lightly. They do not tend to take it seriously up to the extent that when they see this sign ‘do not cross here, it’s deadly? they just ignore it. They won’t be afraid to cross a road not using the pedestrian lane unless something bad happens to them or they see one gets caught by a policeman or traffic enforcer.
Most people are hard-headed when it comes to following sign. One good example is a bus driver who stays on the right lane and does not turn right even if there is a sign which says “all vehicles on the right lane must turn right?
These are just few of the examples of how people read signs.
